Teen dies in single-car crash in St. Joe

ST. JOSEPH, MO (KCTV) -

Police are investigating after teenager died in a single-car wreck Saturday evening.

The wreck was reported at 6:50 p.m. at Gene Field Road and Riverside Road, which is near the St. Joseph Youth Soccer Complex.

Dylan M. Archdekin, 18, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the 2006 Pontiac GTO, police said. He died at the scene. His 15-year-old passenger wore a seat belt and suffered only minor cuts and scrapes.

Speed appears to be a contributing factor, police said.. Toxicology results are pending, authorities said.
