RAYTOWN, MO (KCTV) -
A Walmart in Raytown was evacuated due to a bomb threat.
Police said someone called the store located off Missouri Highway 350 and Walmart Drive Friday about 4:48 p.m. claiming a bomb was inside.
As a safety precaution, all employees and customers were evacuated from the building as a bomb and arson unit got to the scene and checked the building for any possible threats.
A couple hours later, the Walmart was given the all clear.
This isn't the first time a bomb threat has been called into an area Walmart. Towards the end of July, at least eight Walmarts across Missouri were evacuated after bomb threats. Two of the stores are in the Kansas City area.
Then, the first week of August, a Kansas City, KS, and Raytown Walmart were among three evacuated in the Kansas City area because of bomb threats.
All threats were called in on Fridays.
