Victim suffers serious injuries in shooting

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A person suffered serious injuries in a shooting Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened just before 2:30 p.m. at 28th Terrace and Topping Avenue.

Officer Darin Snapp said officers found the victim, a man in his late 20s, suffering from gunshot wounds in a red SUV. He was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

Police said the suspect is described as a black man wearing a white shirt and black sweatpants who ran from the scene.
