Police chase driver after running over cop's foot

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

Authorities are trying to locate a driver who fled on foot after a police chase.

The chase began about 6:40 a.m. Tuesday after a vehicle ran over an officer's foot near East Independence and Hardesty avenues and then fled.

The vehicle made its way into Kansas City, KS where KCK police assisted.

Police located the abandoned vehicle just before 7 a.m. at an apartment complex near 12 Street and Gilmore Avenue in KCK.
