Crews battle blaze at vacant apartment building near 38th, Brooklyn

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Firefighters are battling a large fire in a vacant apartment building Sunday morning.

Crews responded about 5 a.m. to the burning three-story vacant building in the 3800 block of Brooklyn Avenue.

Officials said due to the size of the fire, firefighters were forced to go into defensive mode.

No injuries have been reported at this time, and the cause of the fire is unknown.
