Six meatballs (we use Scimeca's)
Three Hawaiian rolls
Our jalapeño infused vodka cream sauce (instructions below)
Provolone cheese slices
Shredded parmesan cheese
Cut each roll in half, top with sauce, provolone cheese and shredded parmesan. Put on a baking sheet open faced and broil until cheese is melted. Serve hot.
Jalapeno infused vodka cream sauce steps:
2 tbs. unsalted butter
1 tbs. Minced Garlic
1 Red Onion, Chopped
1 (46 oz.) Can Tomato Juice
1 ½ tsp. Italian Seasoning
6-8 Fresh Basil Leaves, Chopped
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Fresh Ground Pepper
6 tbs. Butter, Divided
1 cup Jalapeno infused vodka
3 cups heavy cream or half and half
½ cup Dry Parmesan Cheese
Heat 2 tbs. unsalted butter in a large saucepan. When hot, sauté the onions and garlic until golden brown. Then stir in Italian seasoning, basil, salt, pepper, jalapeno vodka, remaining 6 tbs. of butter and tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes.
Add half & half or heavy cream and bring to simmer, then add parmesan cheese and mix thoroughly. Add cream mixture into the tomato sauce then stir to mix.
