OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) -

No injuries were reported in an early morning high-rise fire in Overland Park.

Firefighters responded to a building fire call in the 9300 block of Metcalf Avenue just after 1 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, crews reported fire from the rooftop of an 11-story building and a high-rise alarm was immediately called.

Several units from throughout Johnson County responded to assist. Crews were called in from Consolidated Fire District 2, Leawood, Lenexa, Merriam, Olathe, Shawnee and Johnson County Med-Act.

Firefighters made access to the roof and quickly put out a fire in a rooftop cooling unit. Crews spent an additional hour conducting overhaul operations and making sure the fire was completely extinguished.

Fire damage was contained to the cooling unit area on the roof but there was smoke damage throughout the building. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
