FBI investigating attempted robbery of Leawood bank

LEAWOOD, KS (KCTV) -

Authorities are investigating an attempted bank robbery.

The FBI said two armed men walked into the Mission Bank, located at 13501 Aberdeen, about 6:05 p.m. Tuesday.

One of the suspects was wearing a camouflage ski mask, bulky clothing and gloves. The second suspect was also wearing gloves and a black ski mask. A third suspect remained outside the bank in a getaway vehicle.

The FBI said the suspects fled the bank in a silver Ford Escape heading east on 135th Street toward State Line Road.

There is no word at this time how much money was taken. No injuries were reported..
