Former Johnson County Sheriff's deputy accused of inappropriately touching inmate

OLATHE, KS (KCTV) -

A former Johnson County, KS, Sheriff's deputy is accused of molesting a female inmate.

Vernon Finkenbinder faces charges of unlawful sexual relations for with inappropriately communicating with and touching a female inmate while in custody at the Central Booking Facility last month.

He was placed on administrative leave and has since resigned from the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office said this is an isolated incident.
