KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
A woman has died of her injuries suffered in a crash Monday afternoon.
The woman was Karen A. House-Long, 54, of Kansas City.
Two adults and three children were also injured in the crash on 31st Street at U.S. 40 Monday afternoon.
Witnesses and police believe the crash occurred about 2 p.m. when a semi attempted to turn off U.S. 40 onto eastbound Interstate 70.
The semi hit two vehicles whose drivers apparently had the right of way.
The driver of a red vehicle was taken to the hospital. Two adults and three children in a green Suburban were also rushed to the hospital.
The driver of the green Suburban has since died. Others also suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Witnesses said the driver of the semi was walking around after the crash and did not require hospitalization.
The front end of the semi was crushed.
The stretch of road was closed for hours.
