KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Police are investigating the death of a 38-year-old Kansas City man who died in a shooting Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were called about 1 p.m. to the 4100 block of South Benton Boulevard on a shooting. When authorities arrived, they found Timothy M. Riley shot in the street.
Riley was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
Witnesses say he was fighting with the shooter, described as a 25-year-old man between 5'10" and 6' with a slender build, when the suspect shot him and fled on foot.
Police said there are no suspects in custody at this time.
