School bus, car involved in wreck on Hwy. 71

A school bus with a child on board was involved in a wreck Wednesday morning.

The wreck happened about 8:25 a.m. on southbound U.S. Highway 71 at 59th Street.

No injuries were reported on the school bus headed to Pathway Academy, but police say at least one person inside the vehicle that collided with the bus was hurt. Their injuries are considered minor.

The students on board were transferred to another bus.
