Driver seriously injured after SUV slams into OP home

OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) -

Police are investigating an accident in which an SUV slammed into a house early Wednesday morning.

The wreck happened about 8 a.m. at a home located just north of 167th Street on Metcalf Avenue.

Police say the SUV was traveling south on Metcalf Avenue when it slammed into the home. The woman driver had to be cut out of the vehicle, she was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
