CASS COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -
Motorists are urged to avoid sections of Route 7 and Highway 7 after two separate crashes.
The driver was killed in a crash on Route 7 north of Creighton. This occurred just south of Chandler Road.
The driver was the only person in the vehicle, said Corporal Kevin Tieman of the Cass County Sheriff's Office. Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating the cause.
A second wreck also occurred before 3 p.m. Monday.
The driver of an asphalt truck is expected to recover after a crash on Highway Y. The driver lost control and fresh asphalt was dumped on the road.
The highway is closed between 187th and 195th streets.
