FBI investigates Raytown bank robbery

RAYTOWN, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities are investigating an early Tuesday morning bank robbery in Raytown.

The FBI said a man approached clerks at a Bank of America located at 6400 Raytown Trafficway, which is just south of East 63rd Street, just before 8 a.m. as they were opening the branch.

Officials have yet to release if a gun was used or if there were any injuries.

Investigators say he robbed the bank and took off on foot. K-9 officers assisted the FBI as they searched the grounds for evidence.

The bank is now closed for the day, and agents say as soon as a surveillance pictures are available they will release them.

No other details are available at this time.
