Police have 1 in custody after double shooting

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Police have one person in custody following a double shooting on the city's northeast side.

The shooting happened shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday just south of the intersection of St. John Avenue and Belmont Boulevard.

Authorities say one victim is in serious condition, the other was not seriously hurt.

Police continue to investigate what led to the shooting.
