KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting outside a downtown nightclub.
Authorities were called about 2:40 a.m. Sunday on a disturbance after shots were fired in the 1500 block of Grand Boulevard in front of Club Luna. Officers, who were working off-duty in the area, responded to the scene.
Police said they encountered a person at 16th Street and Grand Blvd. who pointed a gun at an officer, and the officer shot the person. They were transported to an area hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The officer was not injured.
There were two other shooting victims found at the scene and were also transported to area hospitals. Police said they were not seriously hurt.
