Train strikes, kills man in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, KS (KCTV) -

Authorities are releasing few details after a train struck and killed someone in Lawrence.

The person was struck by the train about 11:10 a.m. Monday. The crash happened near Seventh and New York streets.

Lawrence police and Burlington Northern Santa Fe are investigating. Authorities are not releasing the victim's age or sex.
