SHAWNEE, KS (KCTV) -
Residents of a home that caught fire Wednesday made it out safely, but their home is considered a total loss.
Firefighters were called about 11:30 a.m. to the home near 51st and Kenton streets.
Firefighters said the blaze started on the back of the home and the roof eventually collapsed.
Shawnee Fire Marshal Corey Sands said the house was a total loss estimating $270,000, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
