INDEPENDENCE, MO (KCTV) -
A 56-year-old Blue Springs died after he was thrown from the minivan he was riding in on Interstate 70.
Police are investigating the deadly crash involving a minivan, two cars and a tractor-trailer that occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday near I-470.
Authorities said the crash happened when the minivan and one of the cars collided, causing both to spin. The minivan was then struck by the second car and the tractor-trailer.
The passenger of the minivan, Dao Lin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
