Police identify man found shot to death on Kansas City lawn

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

One man is dead following a shooting in Kansas City early Saturday morning.

Police identified the victim as 35-year-old Arnold Shelby, of Kansas City, MO.

Officers responded to the 3700 block of East 29th Street about 4:30 a.m. on a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found Shelby in the yard suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead shortly after.

Witnesses said a black man shot Shelby and fled on foot. Anyone with information should call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
