MERRIAM, KS (KCTV) -
Police said a victim who had been shot several times early Friday morning in Merriam called 911.
Just before 3:30 a.m., police were called to Kings Cove Drive, a block east of Switzer Street, after a man called 911 and told them his roommate had shot him several times.
Officers arrived and found the suspect in the apartment building's hallway, where he was then taken into custody.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive. He told officers he had been asleep on the couch when he was shot by his roommate.
The victim said the two hadn't had any argument or fight that night and had no idea what caused his roommate to shoot him.
