JOHNSON COUNTY, KS (KCTV) -
A police chase has a Shawnee man in the hospital after a rollover crash near Interstate 35 and 151st Street.
Officers said they tried to pull over the man for speeding from College Boulevard to 167th Street. Investigators say 26-year-old Christopher Moore drove through the grass median heading back onto the roadway, crossing all lanes of traffic.
Moore then went up and down the embankment. The car Moore was driving rolled once and trapped him inside the car. Investigators say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Moore is in the hospital with what a spokesperson calls severe injuries. No one else was injured in the crash.
Several southbound lanes were blocked during the initial investigation.
