Checkpoint nets 18 DUI arrests for KC police

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

An overnight DUI checkpoint in Kansas City added up to 18 arrests for police.

Police said they stopped 734 vehicles Saturday night during the five-hour checkpoint at West 39th Street and Southwest Trafficway. The northbound traffic was checked.

Officers also issued eight other traffic violations, one citation for driving with a suspended or revoked license, one failing to obey a lawful order, one resisting arrest, two arrests on Kansas City warrants.
