Movie theater shooter applied to KU grad school

LAWRENCE, KS (KCTV) -

Friday KCTV is learning about a local connection to the Colorado movie theater massacre.

Officials at the University of Kansas said suspected shooter, James Holmes, applied to grad school at KU. But he withdrew his application before starting the interview process and ended up going to school in Colorado.

Holmes is charged with killing 12 people and hurting 58 others during a shooting spree last month in Aurora.
