KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -
A grass fire started by a semitruck full of cars temporarily shut down an exit on Interstate 635.
A representative for the Kansas City, KS, Fire Department said a semi's cab caught fire which then caused the three cars it was hauling to also catch on fire, spreading to the dry grass nearby.
No injuries were reported, but the I-635 southbound exit to Interstate 70 westbound was temporarily closed while crews worked to put out the fires.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the ramp reopened. It opened again about two hours later, about 4:30 p.m.
