KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A downtown building in the Power & Light District was evacuated early Thursday morning after smoke began to fill the building.

When the fire department arrived, they did not find a fire but a water leak on the sixth floor of the building resulting in arching electricity between two transformers.

As smoke began to fill parts of the building, workers were evacuated.

No one was injured in the incident.

The fire department began leaving the scene shortly after 12:30 p.m.
