A rollover accident Thursday on Highway 71 has left a mother and her two children injured.

The accident happened just after 9 a.m. on southbound Highway 71 near the East 51st Street overpass.  Police said a 37-year-old mother driving a white van was traveling south on the highway, lost control of her vehicle and crossed a few lanes of traffic.

The van then hit the bottom of the bridge causing it to roll over.

The mother is also listed in serious condition at this time.
