Posted: Updated:

One man is dead, and three others were questioned by Lenexa police following an argument on Interstate 435 in Lenexa.

The man was identified as 34-year-old Joshua Williams of Bonner Springs, KS.

Lenexa police went to a medical emergency call about 3:45 a.m. Tuesday on the side of eastbound I-435 near Lackman Road.

When police arrived, they found four men on the side of the interstate. One of the men was injured enough that he was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

The other men taken into custody by Lenexa police have been released. No charges have been filed.

Police said four people, including Williams, were traveling from Eudora, KS, to the Kansas City metro area. In the area of K-10 Highway and Woodland Road, Williams and another person in the vehicle began arguing. The argument became physical, causing the driver to stop on I-435. Williams and the other people in the vehicle got out where the fight continued until Williams collapsed and someone called 911.

Police say it was one of the men in the vehicle that called 911.

Police are still investigating and waiting for additional information to come back to assist with the coroner's autopsy.
