I-435 reopened after bridge demolition in Overland Park

OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) -

A stretch of Interstate 435 is back open Sunday morning after bridge demolition work on the remaining Quivira Road bridge structure spanning over the Interstate.

All lanes of eastbound and westbound I-435 from U.S. 69 Highway to I-35 reopened shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday in Overland Park.

Crews closed down the interstate in both directions so crews could finish removing the Quivira Road bridge.
