KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Police are investigating an accident that has left a pedestrian dead.
A woman, later identified as 50-year-old Marilyn L. Johnson, was walking about 5:15 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of East 42nd Street and Prospect Avenue on the city's east side when she was struck by a red pickup.
The truck, which was driven by a woman, was traveling north on Prospect Avenue.
Paramedics were doing CPR on the pedestrian as they were heading to the hospital where she later died.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene.
