Police: Man robs cell phone store with large knife

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Police are looking for a man who robbed a cell phone store in south Kansas City.

Authorities said the suspect, armed with a large butcher knife, robbed the Cricket Store located in 7400 block Prospect Avenue about 9 a.m. Monday.

The clerk was inside the store when the suspect entered, asked about a phone and then pulled out a knife and demanded money, police said. The suspect then tied up the victim with duct tape he had brought with him.

The suspect, described to be in his mid 30s, is approximately 6' and weighs 200 pounds.
