Firefighters extinguish house fire in KCK

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Firefighters battled a house fire early Tuesday morning.

When firefighters arrived at the home in the 2700 block of North 31st Street just after 6 a.m. there was heavy fire and smoke showing from the one-story home.

The home is located near Mellier Avenue, just a few blocks southwest of Quindaro Boulevard. The house is a rental property, and it was vacant at the time.

No one was inside the home at the time, and no firefighters were injured in the incident.
