 Position Summary

The position of CT Tech reports to Supervisor. The mission of Radiology is to provide compassionate care and quality imaging services to our customers, both internal and external. The CT Tech supports this mission by performing essential functions of mission integration, teamwork, time management, communication/interpersonal relationships, organizational contributions, professional manner and appearance, clinical skills, patient well being, QA/educational/organization, radiation safety, and age - population specific care, in accordance with the characteristic outlined under each competency.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education, Licensure, Certification and Experience Required.

Education & Experience:
Education: Complete an AMA accredited program of study or ARRT approved program.
Work Experience: None required

Licensure/Certification:
Registered in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State of Kansas RT licensure, or temporary permit issued by KS State Board of Healing Arts within 120 days of hire, only persons licensed under the Radiologic Technologists Act shall be entitled to use the designated letter "R.T." or "L.R.T." (KSBHA - Chapter 65., Article 73., 65-7303). Certified healthcare provider basic life support (HCP BLS).

Special Skills/Aptitudes:
Must be able to read, write and perform keyboard functions. Must be able to problem-solve using good judgment. Must possess good mathematical and analytical skills. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing, positively represent the department to internal and external customers. Effectively prioritizes workload to meet deadlines. Responsible for performing radiology procedures according to department protocols. Assists, monitors, transports patients and/or equipment, assists with other duties as requested and cares for patients carefully and efficiently. Will be scheduled to work with other technologists or independently as their skills/abilities progress/improve. Accepts "call" responsibility as needed.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The position of Cardiology ARNP (216680052041) reports to the Office Coordinator at Providence Medical Center. The mission of the Cardiology Services is to serve the community by providing safe and quality cardiac services, guide our patients through various test, procedures and surgeries related to their heart and vascular system and keeping the family / patient educated, informed and knowledgeable.
The ARNP position supports this mission in all aspects of their professional practice. This practice includes direct care activities, consultative activities, acts of delegation, and other responsibilities such as patient education and encompasses all aspects of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. By virtue of their specialized education and licensure by the Kansas State Board of Nursing, the ARNP is responsible and accountable for the quality of nursing care that their patients receive and for the conformity of that care to nationally, regionally, and locally accepted standards of care and best practice. In the performance of their position, each registered nurse must demonstrate the service behaviors of our Core Values of Respect, Excellence, Response to Need, Wholeness, and Stewardship

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
Work Experience: Five years experience in nursing. Two years in cardiac management.
Licensing/Certification/Registration: Current Registered Nurse Practitioner license by Kansas State Board of Nursing. Current Basic Life Support Health Care Provider affirmation by the American Heart Association. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider affirmation by the American Heart Association.
Knowledge & Cognitive Abilities: Knowledge of nursing process and medical model; Knowledge of health and physical assessment and examination. Knowledge of medical diagnosis and appropriate treatments; Knowledge of epidemiology and communicable disease control; Knowledge of sanitation practices, diabetes nutrition and related treatments and programs. Skill in written and verbal communication. Ability to manage clinic operations.

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification or AANP. Certification from the American College Cardiology of Nursing. Proficient in computer skills.

Continuously requires:
Verbal and written communication to interact with patients and staff, hearing and speaking in ordinary conversational tones to effectively communication with patients and staff, hearing high and low pitched sounds to monitor alarms and respond to pagers. Seeing with near acuity, far acuity, correction, full field of vision, and depth perception to assess patients and observe changes in patient condition. Working with other and around others, working closely with others and independently. Customer/patient contact. Exposed to inside areas, infectious disease, moving objects/vehicles and physical intervention with patients. Availability by telephone 24 hours per day and transportation to regional health care facilities. Rotation of call including weekends and holidays.

Frequently requires:
Standing, walking, bending/stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, crouching, and balancing to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and respond to patient care needs. Lift, push/pull, and carry up to ten (10) pounds of weight without assistance to transport patients, equipment and supplies. Color distinguishment to observe changes in patient condition. Exposure to noisy areas. Frequently required to perform the essential function of patient care and the obtaining of supplies and equipment used in patient care.
