KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A Kansas City man, previously charged in a forcible rape and forcible sodomy case, pleaded guilty Tuesday.

Deorio J. Holland, 31, faced one count of forcible rape and four counts of forcible sodomy charges for the June 5, 2012 sexual assault of a woman who was awakened in her bed by an intruder.

Holland appeared Tuesday in Div. 9 of the Jackson County Circuit Court and entered his guilty plea.

According to court records, the victim was in her home about 1:30 a.m. when she was awakened by sound of someone in her apartment. The victim noticed an unknown black male coming at her. The black male was identified through DNA as Holland.

Court documents said the victim tried to run out of her apartment, but Holland grabbed her and pulled her back. Holland hit, strangled and threatened to kill the victim. Holland then sexually assaulted the victim.

After the sexual assaults, Holland forced the victim to shower. While she was in the shower, Holland poured bleach on and in her and forced dish soap on and in her, according to court documents.

Holland left the victim's home and the victim fled until she got to a convenience store where the police were called.

He will be sentenced on May 5, but stated he had agreed to serve a 23-year prison sentence for the two felony counts, forcible rape and forcible sodomy. Other pending counts against him related to the 2012 attack were dropped.
