KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Police are investigating a crossover crash that has left one person with critical injuries and has backed up traffic in the area.
The wreck, involving four vehicles, happened around 7:50 a.m. on Missouri Highway 9 leading to southbound U.S. Highway 169.
The crash created significant traffic delays.
The driver of a black Ford pickup traveling northbound lost control on the rain-slickened highway. The truck crossed into the southbound lanes, slamming into three other vehicles.
The driver of one of the southbound vehicles suffered serious injuries, but is expected to recover. No one else needed hospitalization.
