Driver extracted after accident on 71 Hwy

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A driver had to be cut out of a vehicle after a two-car accident Thursday morning.

The wreck happened about 2:20 a.m. on southbound Highway 71, just south of 85th Street.

One vehicle rear ended the other vehicle, and the driver extracted from the car was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One lane for southbound traffic was reopened about 3:45 a.m.
