FAIRWAY, KS (KCTV) -
If you are looking to navigate around town for the All-Star activities, here are the quickest or less-traveled routes, according to KCTV5's It's Your Morning team.
From FanFest to the Plaza for the parade:
SB on Broadway to I-35 SB
Exit onto SW Trafficway
Take SW Trafficway to 47th
St. Park off of 47th
KCTV5 TIP: The best bet for people headed to the parade will be to arrive early and look for a spot in one of the many garages off of 47th. That will put you only a block or so away from the parade.
Parade to Power and Light District for watch party:
47th St. to SW Trafficway
SW Trafficway to NB I-35
Take the Broadway exit
Head straight off of the exit to Truman
Take Truman past P and L to Oak St.
Take a left on Oak St. Take a left on 13th. Park in the 13th St. Garage
KCTV5 TIP: Avoid the main parking garage on 11th as it fills up extremely fast. There are various smaller pay lots you can use in the surrounding blocks, but you can usually park for around $5 to $10.
Power and Light District to Kauffman Stadium:
Take 13th St. to Main St. Left on Main
Left on Truman
Take the I-70 EB on ramp
Take I-70 to the 40 Hwy. exit
Take 40 Hwy. to E. Stadium Drive
Take a right on Raytown Road
Follow that to Lancer Lane and take a left on Lancer, enter Kauffman
Other tips include: Bring plenty of cash for parking, and wear comfortable walking shoes. There will be a good distance between where you park and the entrance.
