KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
If the city feels a little more presidential Monday, it is probably because the Second Couple is in town.
Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, are in Kansas City for two separate events.
Jill Biden will be speaking in a public discussion with members of the Missouri National Guard and their families at the McCoy Meetin' House at Park University.
The event is to educate more about Partners in Care, a faith-based partnership between the Guard and the Missouri faith community.
Then later on Monday, Joe Biden will raise money for Sen. Claire McCaskill and U.S. House candiate Teresa Hensley, who is currently Cass County's prosecutor.
Biden will attend the $2,500-per-plate luncheon in the Northland. It is closed to the public.
The event, hosted at a private residence, will be the first time Vice President Biden has joined McCaskill in Missouri during her re-election campaign.
Joe Biden will then will hold an event for Hensley at Wheeler Downtown Airport.
