KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A man led Kansas City, MO, police on a messy car chase early Saturday morning after officers saw him driving erratically in a Walmart parking lot near Blue Ridge Boulevard and U.S. Highway 40.

According to police, the suspect was chasing a vehicle with females inside through the Walmart parking lot. When officers arrived, the suspect nearly struck an officer and police considered his erratic driving a danger to the public.

Police said the suspect took off as soon as police tried to pull him over.

While police chased him, the suspect rear-ended a motorist and smashed into another vehicle near Independence and Hardesty Avenue, where the man then ran away on foot.

Police caught up to the man and arrested him.

There is no word at this time about possible charges the suspect could face.
