KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Two men are in the hospital after separate overnight shootings.
In the first shooting, police said a man was wounded about 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Linwood Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue.
Police said a man was walking down the street attacking cars as they drove by. When officers arrived and approached him, he threatened to fight them. The man was taken into custody where it was then discovered he had been shot.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, but his condition is unknown.
When officers asked the man why he was attacking cars, he said he did it because he was mad he got shot.
Another person was sent to the hospital in a separate shooting. Police said a man was wounded about 1:30 a.m. Saturday near a gas station at 12th and Wyoming Street. Police said the victim was walking out of a store when he was shot by four to five suspect who then fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in serious, but stable, condition.
Police said they haven't made any arrests in connection to either shooting, but are investigating both.
