GRANDVIEW, MO (KCTV) -
A 25-year-old woman is dead after she was thrown from her car during an accident.
The accident happened about 5 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 71 near Blue Ridge Boulevard in Grandview.
Police said the woman lost control of her car and was thrown. A 2-year-old was in the car at the time, but was in a car seat.
The girl was not hurt and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Killed in the crash was Ashley Nichole DeGroff of Belton.
