Jackknifed semi caused big traffic mess on I-670

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

There was a big traffic mess for drivers early Thursday morning after a semi and a car were involved in an accident on Interstate 670 overnight.

The accident happened just before 2 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-670 in Kansas City, KS.

A UPS freight truck with two trailers jackknifed after being involved in an accident with a car. The accident closed all westbound lanes of I-670 near the I-70 split so crews could upright the trailers.

All lanes reopened shortly after 5 a.m. No injuries were reported.
