Cars run off the road during wild police chase

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Two men are in custody after leading Kansas City police on a wild chase.

The chase began just before 3 a.m.

Police followed the men down U.S. Highway 71, in the wrong direction. They were headed south in the northbound lanes, all the while running cars off the road.

Police said the men then ended up on Interstate-435 and then traveled from Holmes to Bannister.

The chase ended after police spiked their tires and the suspects crashed into a police vehicles on Fairlane Drive in south Kansas City.
