Missing 68-year-old man with dementia found

OLATHE, KS (KCTV) -

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office and Roeland Park police said a Silver Alert for Fred Robbins has been canceled, and he has been found.

Robbins is a black 68-year-old man. He is approximately 6'2" and 280 pounds.

He was last seen walking near his home at 5641 Roe in Roeland Park, KS. He was wearing a blue shirt with the words "New York" on it and possibly wearing a black baseball-style hat the last time he was seen.

Officials said Robbins had been missing since 10 a.m. Robbins has dementia and has difficulty communicating.

Just before 3 p.m., police said the man was found at KU Medical Hospital and was on his way home.
