KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
A fire broke out at a Kansas City apartment complex, damaging several units Wednesday night.
Firefighters were dispatched to the area of 36th Street and Wyandotte Street at about 9 p.m. on reports of a building on fire.
Shortly after firefighters were on the scene, a second alarm was ordered.
A representative for the fire department said units were damaged in the buildings located at 200 and 204 36th St.
There were no reported injuries to any firefighters or residents, but Red Cross was called out to assist 13 adults who had damage to their apartments.
They believe the fire broke out on a second-story balcony and quickly spread to the third floor. There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
The estimated damage to the buildings is approximately $275,000.
