KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
A former Blue Springs soccer coach has pleaded guilty to three counts of child molestation.
Prosecutors said Richard G. Burroughs, 44, pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree child molestation in an agreement Monday.
Burroughs, according to court documents, molested three girls, ages 11 to 13. Two of the incidents occurred at his Blue Springs home, while the third occurred at a girl's home.
Burroughs appeared in a Jackson County courtroom Monday morning and agreed to a sentence of 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. He will go to the correction department's Sex Offender Assessment Unit, where he will be evaluated.
A formal sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 27.
