A 23-year-old Kansas City man has been charged in a homicide over the weekend.
Eric T. Grimes faces murder and armed criminal action charges.
According to court records, police were called on Saturday to 8000 block of Brooklyn Avenue and found a vehicle abandoned in the middle of the street in front of the residence. The victim was lying face down in the front doorway of the residence.
The victim suffered from gunshot wounds and later died at an area hospital.
Grimes matched the description of the passenger of the victim's vehicle, who was seen shooting into the vehicle and then running from it.
He was also the last person seen with the victim and is known to carry a .38 caliber revolver, which are the same class bullets recovered at the scene.
Grimes' bond has been set at $250,000.
