Arson investigation after house catches fire near 42nd, Prospect

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Firefighters say an overnight fire was set on purpose.

The fire, which started in a bedroom, happened about 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the 4200 block of Prospect Avenue.

The fire department estimates $35,000 in damage was done to the house.

No one was hurt in the fire, and the cause is still under investigation.
