YOUR TURN: Mother banned from Facebook for posting photos of child with birth defect
This week's "Your Turn" segment comes from the Action News 5 Facebook page where hundreds of comments have been posted about a Mid-South woman who was banned from Facebook. Heather Walker was barred because she posted photos of her son who was born with a fatal birth defect.
We chose a comment from Lisa Moss Linville. In her words:
"It is absolutely shameful what Facebook has done. I saw some of the pictures and my heart just cried for this family. That baby was an adorable little human being despite his defect, he was a beautiful baby born to parents who love him dearly and should be just as much able to share their child's picture as the next person. Now if Facebook wants to nitpick pictures, then let's work on the young teenagers who pose for half nude pictures of themselves in every other post. What about pictures of people flipping the bird? What about people who drop the "F" bomb in every other post? That is offensive. Grow up Facebook. These people lost a beautiful child, have a little respect."
That's Lisa Moss Linville's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email email@example.com or call 800-465-1210.
